There was a great bustle in the editorial office: the telephone was heated up on the 3rd<\/sup> of June. \u201cWhat\u2019s happen? The Governor\u2019s helicopter has been circling over the town almost for 20 minutes. Has Vladimir Putin come?\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Are there military exercises?\u201d or, what is the worst question, \u201c Is it an armed attack?\u201d \u2013 asked excited Vyazemskii dwellers. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

As things turned out The Prior of our Local Parish of Saint Nicholas the Priest George together with the city chief Alexander Yuryevich Usenko had flown round the town with the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

They were flying round Vyazemskii with the prayer of patronage, prosperity and constructing of new temple in honour of the icon. As father George said this idea has been bearing for a long time. The difficult was in co-ordinating date and time with giving transport. \u201cThe miracle has happened\u201d, the priest George said, \u201cwhich we couldn\u2019t be waiting for. The Air Cross procession was fixed exactly on the Day of Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. Before our flight we saved moleben with the icon before the worship cross laid on the place of future temple. During the flight I read the prayer in front of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. My heart was overflowed with joy as we do so necessary and so important for all of us work.\u201d<\/p>\n

A.Y.Usenko also shared with his impression, \u201cThe helicopter was given to us absolutely free in charge by OOO \u201cTransoil \u2013 Far East\u201d enterprise. Apart from three members of helicopter-crew, me and the Priest George there was a photographer Natalya Danilenko, who took photos for the forthcoming city anniversary. It\u2019s my second flight over Vyazemskii and to tell the truth at first I couldn\u2019t believe that it was my native town. Mostly I was impressed by seeing great amount of green plants. At this altitude especially when the sun\u2019s eyelashes broke through the clouds everything seemed to be emerald. Our town five-storey buildings also were pleasing to the eye. Their brightly blue, claret-coloured and green rooves adorned the overall picture. Such sights as the number 2 school\u2019s stadium, the stadium \u201cLocomotive\u201d, the rail-way station, Local District Hospital and the Forest College stood out against the rest sights of our native town. Our flight was made on the date of Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, so I believe that very soon our town will be decorated with new temple in honour of this icon. I would\u00a0 like to thank the leaders of OOO \u201cTransoil \u2013 Far East\u201d Valeriy Sergeyevich Timopheyev, Robert Anisovich Galiyev, Nicolai Petrovich Tokarev who help our town not for the first time.<\/p>\n
